Orange color. Some hops, citrus and caramel in the aroma. Sweetish, hoppy caramelly citric flavor. Earthy with hints of red berries. Just a bit tart. Some alcohol and rubber. Hopbitter, citric aftertaste. Prickly mouthfeel. Lovely typical Crombé ale.

Red golden colour, white head. Malty aroma, yeast, some fruit and spices. Very tripel like. Sweet malty flavour, sweet malty finish. Quite unremarkable.

bottle shared with Tomaz. pours cloudy golden, thick white head. aroma had something unique not typical to most Belgian strong ales, something of fermented white grapes with a blossom hops and yeast. Found it to be sweet and reminiscent to the Bloemenbiek beer. Flavors, yeasty, some caramel malts, honey like palate, sweet with some raisins, hay/attic flavors. Tasty and surely doesn’t feel like 8.3%

(Bottle) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with a frothy, off-white head. Sourish nose with green apples, yeast and a touch of vinegar. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, apricots and a spicy finish. Balanced sweetness. Possibly a bit too old, but still drinkable.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, golden beer with an off-white head. Citrusy and fruity on the nose, some roasted malt and caramel-sweetness, as well as a tiny cellar note. Caramel-sweet and slightly fruity flavor, some bitterness and a touch of cellar. Medium body. Quite bitter finish, yet sweetish. Sure a drinkable one, but not worth a re-visit. As the beer is retired, that would of course be difficult... (080412)
