Tennent’s is more than just a great lager– it is a national treasure. As a product, it has always been known for being a great pint - dating back to its long history from 135 years ago when Hugh Tennent brought the recipe back from Bavaria.

Keg at The Tailrace Kinlochleven. It pours clear golden - amber with a medium white head. The aroma is toasty grain, airy malts, doughy bread, sponge cake and grass. The taste is dry, crisp, grassy, straw, light soap, bit of cream soda, custard creams, slight metallic and spice with a dry finish. Light to medium body and moderate plus carbonation. Airy and easy drinking. Really not so bad when its in good condition.

300ml bottle, one of twelve in a special pack of 'heritage labels', drank on 11th Feb 2018. Surprised I've never rated this beer before, certainly had it in the past. Clear and clean golden pour, short lived white head. Crisp bite to the hoppy taste, light grainy undertones, weak aroma. Actually it's refreshing and thirst quenching, not to shabby at all.
