Our Scotch Bonnet Chilli Beer is a traditional malt beer with a throat tingling chilli kick. We’ve combined Galena and Goldings hops with Rwandan Scotch Bonnet Chilli for a spicy but not overly hot chilli beer.

Bottle online from U & I Drinks. Pours clear amber with a slim beige cap. Not much aroma, maybe a smidge of chilli. Light to moderate sweet with moderately prominent chilli burn which keeps developing. Light to medium body with foamy carbonation. All chilli heat over a garbage base beer. Meh.

330ml beer from Chilli Mash Company, Portsmouth - Hazy amber body, little bubbly white top. Slight spicy malt nose, hard to pick up on the chillies. Very slight spicy chilli kick at the start, intensifies as it goes on, but not overpowering and quite a tasty friendly drink.

Bottle ordered from the commissioners themselves. Aroma has chili and a jammy marmalade streak. Opaque-hazy ginger brown. Thin white head sticks to the rim. A chili kick but not particularly intense. Although it does get stronger. Sweet fruity Malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. Bland if hot.

275ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Aug 22. Brought by me. Never really sure what to expect with chilli beers, but this has a fairly mild chilli kick to it, nothing too savage. Underlying beer seems devoid of hops, with a tame malty wort feel to it, a little oily. Don't feel any massive urge to drink this again.

22nd August 2022; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange, Chez Sophie. Five guys drinking beer and talking shit! Cheers Mat for the 275ml bottle of this (a fifth of which was more than enough). Amber bodied, wispy white covering. Peppery from start to finish, not as harsh as that might sound, but the chilli/pepper overpowered anything and everything else, so I didn't detect any hop or malt action!

23/7/2022. Bottle from U & I Drinks, shared at the ITFC pre-season gathering. Pours clear bright amber with a small frothy off-white head. Mild aroma, light malts, just a touch of chilli on the nose. Moderate sweetness, quite heavy chilli burn develops and keeps growing. Moderate body, slightly oily, quite fizzy. Hot chilli sauce finish. Didn't hugely enjoy it, not really my thing, but did appreciate it for what it was.

Bottle thanks to Grumbo: Poured a burnt orange with a off white to beige head. Aroma is rich malts, spicy, chili. Taste is light hops, rich malts, caramel that is overtaken by hot chili peppers.
