500ml bottle all to myself: BBE October 2022. Drank at home on 7th May 2022. Very surprised to see the high scores for this, I found it a complete mess with the mixture of barrels adding confusion, the Apricot Brandy not blending at all with the base beer or the other barrels. Hazed golden body, weak white head. Zoom rating with the 'Lounge guys', who I told I wasn't impressed.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Jan 22. Thanks Mark for this. Pours a misty golden orange, small white head. Curious sweet aroma presenting a glimpse of the barrel-aging. The apricot brandy, armagnac and white wine influences come through very nicely to taste with harmonious sweet swirls bringing to mind vanilla and creamy cake icing alongside fruit liquer. It really is a captivating blend, crisp with complimentary carbonation. Excellent.

500ml bottle from Waitrose. Pours light hazed golden with a white cap. Aroma: grains, oak, light apricot. Taste: light to moderate sweet & light bitter, oak, armagnac, white wine hints. Quite malty with a light boozy element in the background. Medium body with average to high carbonation.

Bottle at home, from Waitrose online, 30/12/21. Hazed orange with a good sized lasting just off white head. Nose is stoned fruits, soft malts, toasted grains, oak, green berry must, white wine barrel notes prominent. Taste comprises vanilla oak, pale malts, grains, hint of apricot, gooseberries, stoned fruits, light herb, trace of booze. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of alcohol. Solid flavoursome affair ... complex and great barrel tones.

Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and has a nice minerally crispness. Light smooth malts, nice light sweetness. Light woody barrel and some nice oaky vanilla. The white wine barrel sings with the light citric hops. On the back end, the smoothest Armagnac that blends beautifully with the oaky vanilla. Apricot brandy? Well some Apricot liqueur comes through on the crisp finish. Helps to know it's there mind. Very nice barrel treatment. Light crisp and so very drinkable. A delight.
