Shrewsbury Monthly Beer Share; Chez Sophie, 11th April 2022. Five guys all passionate about beer bringing their thoughts and offerings to split between us. Cheers Mike, 400ml can. It's smoky! Slight red hue to the brown body, beige head. Struggled to enjoy this to be honest, never smoked and don't eat smoked bacon/meats or smoked fish very often.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at All Good Beer. Pours black-brown, clear, with a foamy beige head. Medium sweet with big torched meat character, charred honey, brown bread, roast, ham, raisins. Medium to full bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly warming, some burnt ham, cocoa, more burnt honey, strong smoky notes. It’s serious gear. A wild ride.

Can. Industry Tap Sheffield. Clear deep chestnut brown. Super dense and sticky pale beige foam. Looks well. Nose has soft savoury smoke. Hot dog vibes. Touch of sticking plaster. Nicely fruity vinous notes. Lightly earthy and mineraly. Taste is sweet to start, with a vinous bitterness. Smooth and well easy drinking at the ABV. Soft foamy carbonation. Bitterness builds on the finish. I mean I couldn’t do more than a couple on the trot, but the first one goes down easy.
