Can from Home Bargains, Bridge of Don. It pours ever so slightly hazy golden - yellow with a medium, fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, cornbread, cheap doughy white bread, sponge, custard cream biscuits, touch grassy and coriander. The taste is initially crispy, dry, snappy, fairly sweet, hearty bready malt base, custard cream biscuits, doughy vibes and grassy/herbal notes with a dryish finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Decent Mexican style lager. Drinks pretty well.

Can from Home Bargains, Rochdale. Golden with a thin head. Apart from the subtle differences in yeast used as the can advertises, there's little to say about this standard lager.

Can from Home Bargains, Byfleet. Aroma is yeasty and doughy. Slightly opaque gold. Thin foamy white head. Light-medium. Sweet malt and yeast. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long finish. Nice enough

355ml can from Home Bargains. Pours a misty pale gold, loose ring of bubbles circling the top. Aroma of gently musty lager malt sweetness. Taste continues along these lines, expected a thinner lighter lager profile but it has a nice sweetness to it, medium bodied. Not too bad at all.

12oz can. Solid for the style, which really isn't a Helles or a Vienna. Excellent clean medium body. Zesty hop balance, bready malts. Very drinkable, all around quality stuff.

12 ounce can from Wine Cellar Depere, 8/13/22. Hazy gold, large tan head, good retention. Aroma of bready malt, herbal note, stone fruit. Taste is lemon, pale malt. Juicy. Solid.

Enjoyed on tap at the Frontera at Ohare Airport. Pretty straight forward, no frills, tastes like something I’d have on a beach which is super ironic because I’ll be doing that soon!

Poured from the can into a .2 l pilsener flute. Bright yellow color which shows a bit of haze, which turns out to be fine floaties, meaning this is lightly filtered. There is a sudsy head that hangs around for a while. The smell is the familiar beer smell from when my dad used to let me sample. There's also a bit of corn sugar sweetness in the nose. The taste is light with a bit of lightly toasted malt. There's a little sweetness on the tongue, but also some hop bitterness in balance. The carbonation delivers more hoppiness and even some dryness. Being sold in a can keeps out the light that skunks Mexican lagers in clear bottles. Still a slight bit of fusel alcohol in the aftertaste, which keeps me from proclaiming this a clean finish. But this is a decent summer beer among craft brewers trying to recapture the light lager style.

Draught at Tortas Frontera, 7/31/18.
Golden-to-light copper body is clear with a small, off-white head that shows moderate-to-low retention.
Clean, though with a bit of waxy character that comes with the territory. Light bready malt character in the background but with fresh, herbal hops and light honey. Good balance of dry and malty with nothing strange going on.
In the mouth it's substantial and quite malty for a lager, which is nice, as it's well-attenuated. Some waxiness is the only detractor, but that seems to be a normal character of this yeast. Hints of sourdough with dried and fresh herb character from the hops. Light bitterness, no alcohol or flaw. Quite drinkable.

On tap @ Tortas Frontera, Chicago. Dorada limpia. Cereal en el aroma. En boca malteada, de tono dulce, con ligero contrapunto de amargor herbal. Bebible. Algo cansina
