18 January 2019. At Dok Brewing Company, Ghent. Cheers to Anke & Pieter! Pours clear golden with a quickly thinning, off-white head. Aroma of white grape, yeast, sourdough, green apple, unripe pear, oak, vanilla, sherry, dough, pepper. Taste is light fruity sweet, notes of apple & pear with faint vanilla; light to medium grassy bitter middle has wood & white grape, sourish edge of grape too, more sourness from hints of yeast & sourdough. Dry, peppery hoppy finish, woody, lingering unripe fruit with a small dash of warming sherry alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Not the biggest of (white) grapes but this works well.

Slightly cloudy blond to yellow beer, no head. Aroma: quite some ripe banana, sweetish impression, bit fruity, sweet malts, grains, hay. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: bit acidic, citrus touch, alcohol, little bitter, dry, floral touch. Aftertaste: bit hoppy, banana, bit acidic, sweet touch.

7 3 5 3 10Can shared. Fairly hazy orange with barely any head. Aroma of peppery yeast and herbal notes. Flavour goes all wrong with a weird sickly sweetness. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Tap at dok brewing. Pours clear blonde. No head. Smell is typical peppery phenols, but rather subtile. In comparancy to the known Belgian examples. Taste is phenolic, rather bitter, mildly plastic ( perhaps a bit to warm fermented? Ever so slightly though!) misses the crisp, refreshing maltyness as well. By far the least abnormal to date for me.
