Krystallklar, gylden farge. Du verden for et elegant produkt.

Bottle @ Bakgården. Nice looking clear golden body without any head. Looks a bit oily when swirling in the glass. Nice aroma, the honey is present but not too dominant together with some kind of refreshing fruit, slightly acidic and a touch of Myrica Gale and some herbs that’s I’m not able to identify. Flavor is very sweet as expected, with distinct but not sticky honey, balancing elegant against some slightly sour fruit in the area of peach, apricot etc. but not exactly. The Myrica Gails also elevates the flavor to feel a bit lighter and fresher than just raw honey. Full bodied and long-lasting aftertaste that feels a bit floral towards the end. This is a very elegant mead in the direction I would like my mead to taste, herbs and spices instead of fruit, alt least too much fruit. I like to taste the honey in a balanced and modes way in combination with flavors that seems to make a supplement with the mead and not just hide it. Lovely.

Basis er som en søt hvitvin, men det funker fordi pors og einer brekker opp den sødmen som ellers ville kunne vært ødeleggende sterk. Liker!

Bottle, shared by clubgonzo. A clear, dark golden colored mead with some white bubbles. Honey-sweet aroma with a touch of forest, some lemon, juniper twigs more than berries, even though there's only berries in it, there's lots of things going on here, but it's hard to separate the different aroma elements. It's full-bodied, very lightly warming and with a super-light carbonation. Honey, fruityness, forest notes, some citrus hints and juniper in the flavor. The juniper berries are more evident in the finish. A quite traditional style mead, yet with a retro-modern twist that works well. Sort of like a dessert wine this one. Nice indeed, and perhaps a bit gentle. 190712
