MONYO Brewing Co. introduces its first sour ale, Sour Rise. This light, fruity summer beer was made with the use of passion fruit puree, and was soured with Lactobacillus and Pediococcus. It was brewed with rye malt that complements the sour characteristics. A real explosion of tropical flavors with an orange color and passionfruit scent. It is refreshingly bitter, the perfect thirst-quenching beverage for hot summer days.

Sampled at Borefts 2018, Day 1. Unclear pale yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, hops mixed with a pleasant sourish touch. Well more than a touch, it's more sour than hoppy but a pleasant mix anyway. Decent body and medium carbonation. Ok. 7-3-7-3-15.

Borefts 2018. Day 2. Thank you for sharing! Sampled draft. Golden orange. Nose is nice mango, passionfruit, sour tropical, lots of fruit; Taste is pleasant basic passionfruit oil, sweeter tropical not much sour. Low carbonation.

8 3 8 3 16Draft at Borefts Beer Festival ‘18. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of passion fruit, citrus, tropical fruits. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter with citric sourness. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap. Unclear yellow color with no head. Aroma is beautiful maracuja, juicy, light tartness. Taste is maracuja, again juicy, but also a bit cereals and a touch grainy. Juicy mineraly mouthfeel with low carbonation. Very good!

Sampled from tap at Borefts 2018. Slightly hazy, straw yellow with a white head. Slightly sweetish, sourish, gently fruity aroma of lemon, apricot and some peach. Just a little sweet, medium sour, gently fruity and quite yeasty taste of grains, apricot, dill and yeast, followed by a short, medium tart, slightly spicy and yeasty finish. Thin to medium body, slightly astringent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay.
