Bottle at CBJ, thanks to LKS. A mild haze on this amber beer, small pale tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, good fine carbonation. Light malts, a thin caramel and cream. Savoury element. Brandy soaked fruits. Spicy airy finish. Pretty drinkable.

500 ml bottle. Thanks TJ on the share. Aroma has blackberry, raisin the soft caramelized sugar. Flavor is quite nice. Sugar covered raisins, English toffee, soft berries. Mild lingering smooth bourbon. Only a soft linger warmth after the sip. It maybe a touch syrupy. However, it has a nice array of flavors.

500ml (thx to someone who I forgot to put in my trading log...) shared with Farees and Matt @ Ryan's. Appearance: hazy copper with no head. Aroma: caramel, barrel, sweetness, some barrel character. Taste: along the same lines, a bit boozy, balanced. Overall: good one, but there is no point in paying 25 USD for something like this IMHO, considering products from other breweries. Yes, it has a nice balance, but that's it. Nothing exceptional here.

500mL bottle side by side Double Barrel Aaron (Bourbon/Cognac), pours a deep dark burgundy with a small beige head. Aroma reveals dried dark fruits, plenty of cognac barrels, some dark sugars, and caramel. Flavour is much fruitier than the Double Barrel, with lots of cognac, dark dried fruits, caramel, and sweet sugary notes. Less complex, but much sweeter and fruiter than the Double Barrel. Very good.
