Can from Home Bargains, Byfleet. Hazy amber-orange. Foamy white head is short-lived. Aroma has some lime tartness alongside fruit juice sweetness and an almost saline element. Flavourwise it is sweet and juicy. But not too much of the former. A low key but tart lime edge. Underlying malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft average carbonation. Long dry ever so slightly astringent finish. Nice. Refreshing booze adjacent soft drink.

500ml can. Hazy pale yellow gold colour, white foam head and aroma of lemon-lime, juicy fruit. Taste is sweet, fruity, lemon-lime, some malt, papery, sugar. Light bodied, high foamy carbonation, sweet citric lime finish. OK

[50cl can from Home Bargains, Bracknell.] A cloudy straw coloured pour with a loose white head; lemony aroma; sweet lemon and lime taste with a trace of beer; and a sweet finish. Not too bad actually.

Can @ Darwen Tap, Darwen. Hazy yellow-gold with a small bubbly head and a light carbonation. Its lime is not particularly heavy but stated enough to give this very low alcohol lager a fruity twist. Not much aroma.

Can from Great Grog. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of lime, mango and cream soda. Flavour of mango and breakfast juice. Thin body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Less sharp than I was expecting. It’s more like Lilt than beer.

Big boy can from Westhill Service Station. It pours hazy golden yellow with a fizzy, dissipating white head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, tangy, zingy lemon - lime, limeade, bready, doughy and some grass. The taste is crisp, dry, juicy, lemon - lime, zesty, lemonade, sherbet, spritzy, white bread, biscuit and damp grass with a fairly crisp lime jelly finish. Light body and fine, fizzy carbonation. Definitely has some beer character to it. Quenching and refreshing.
