The idea behind this unique collaboration was to brew a filtered, strong, top-fermented beer. This wonderful specialty is the combination of two brewing philosophies - this seems crystal-clear when you take a look at the raw materials: Hops from Belgium, from the immediate area around St. Bernardus, Weihenstephan yeast, Bavarian malt - and water from Freising. The beer is of course brewed in accordance with the Purity Law of 1516. Spicy, with a characteristic yeast note, fruity and strong with 6.5% alcohol: Braupakt 2024 flatters the palate with these characteristics.

Tono seco y moderadamente amargo. Bien hecha.

Keg at BrewDog Castlegate. It pours clear yellow - blonde with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fruity vibes foamy banana candy, green banana, warming clove spice, touch of ginger, vanilla, banana split, damp grain and some green, herbal accents (almost like aloe Vera). The taste is crisp, dry, quite clean upfront, boozey hit, prickly alcohol tingle, green banana, warming spice, clove, peppery, damp grain, chalky, floury wheat bread, pithy citrus, green, grass and straw with a drying, bitter spicy linger. Medium body and moderate+ fluffy carbonation. Nice elements to it, but doesn't particularly come together harmoniously. Decent, but had hoped a touch more from a combination of these 2 exceptional breweries.

Bottle. Color: Clear golden, white head. Aroma: Yeasty, fruity and spicy notes. Taste: Malty, yeasty, fruity stone fruit, banana and light citrus fruit notes, spicy coriander / cloves notes. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Moderate to over moderate sweet, light to moderate bitterness. Ok overall.

33 cl bottle. A pale golden pour with an egg-white thick head, good retention. Aroma is Belgian malts, porridge, spearmint, Golden Grahams. Dry, slick, medium-bodied, rather bitter for a blonde ale. Quite abrupt finish, despite its bitterness.

Weihenstephan X St. Bernardus! Very clean burning, banana, Belgian spice. A sensational collab, where you notice the influence of both breweries, and countries. Love the label art, as well.

Bottle from Foeders drunk fresh upon arrival. Filtered gold with a tall fine head. Nose is spicy, malty biscuit, Belgian yeasty. Caramel and a bit floral on the tongue, not too complex with a short-lived aftertaste. Pleasant carb. Easy drinking but lacking the punch I like from many big Belgian blondes. No, not from hitting on them in bars, I mean the beer!
