Misted chestnut brown with a small beige head. Toasted malts, vinegar, basement, funk, tannins, wild cherries, grass. Rather dry, light hop bitterness. Tasty one.

Bottle from Gedeelde Vreugde. Clear brown-red, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of malt vinegar, cherries, cinnamon, fruit cake, brambleberry, jam, wood, red vermouth, cookie spices. Taste has sour cherry, blackcurrant and redcurrant in a jam-like, almondy malt body, surrounded by funky malt vinegar, spicy cinnamon & clove, touch of juniper too. Tart woody tannins of cherry pit in the finish, some herbal hops and spicy gin-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. 'Oud Bruin' with a twist, very classy!

Bottle at Proeflokaal De Hoppenaar, on an evening with nice beers and good company. Didn't take notes, so this is what I remember: Expected more from this collaboration. Well done Flemish Bruin overall, but I expected more excitement.

31/VII/24 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent), shared @ Ardennes Holiday, BB: II/2029, L21.1190 (2024-643)
Clear brown beer, small irregular beige head, unstable, falls down quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty fruity, red fruits, some alcohol, nice! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very fruity up front, pleasant acidity, berries, red currants, some raspberries, a little bitter, a hint of tannins, nice stuff!

Bottle. Dark brown with no head. Red currants, sweet caramel malts, blackberries, soft juniper, spruce and other aromatic bush thingies. There's fresh red fruits as well as some dough and a bit of biscuits. It's not full in your face, but there's a lot going on here. Medium sweet and sour. Flat. It's pretty good, but it's like the 4th flat Alvinne beer I've had in a row now ..
I waited 6 months and had another one which had some carbonation...
