Apple Rhubarb Maple Pecan is an evolution of one of our most popular pastry sours, bursting with flavour from well over a tonne of locally sourced Scottish fruit. Crisp layers of apple and rhubarb create a sweet, tart balance that pairs perfectly with our mixed fermentation base beer, while maple syrup and nutty pecan flavours round out every sip of this winter warmer.

Tap st Biererei. Cloudy golden, offehite lace. Rhubarb and apple skin tartness in the aroma. Medium body, chewy tart. Lightly perfumed fruit notes, maple and pecan caramel notes, a hint bubblegum, cider apple tart finish, fun.

Tap at Biererei. Murky orange sorbee golden. Wouldnt have guessed it without knowing, but thats probably the pecan and maple in the nose. Also cider rhubarb, milk. Creamy, smooth rhubarb milk shake. Desert pastry. Not bad.

Keg draught at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. I've heard of Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice, and Rita, Sue and Bob too, but I've not yet savoured Apple Rhubarb Maple Pecan. A messy dark gold, hazy with a wisp of white head. Aroma is certainly overpowered by the apple notes, maybe a bit of rhubarb. Notably sour in the mouth although I am getting the maple/pecan character which sweetens it a bit. Maple very prominent into he finish. Medium body with very heavy carbonation. Hmmmm. A decent beer although not my favourite by Vault City. The apple is too dominant. And it doesn't taste anywhere near 8.5%.

Can sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Cloudy yellow. Pickled vegetables, apple, rhubarb, maple, sweet and slightly sourish, some pecan notes.

Tap at Væskebalancen Blågårdsgade 16/08/2023 Does exactly what it says, prominent unmistakable tart rhubarb with some notes of apple, medium body and acidity, nutty pecan accented into the tart fruity close. Lovely from these guys as usual.

Excellent again from Vault City. Could do with being a little more sour

Can. Citric and nutty aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Stable white head. The flavour is acidic, spicy from what tastes like caramel and vanilla, but must be maple syrup and pecan. Quite acidic and burns a bit, but very good.

(Can) Hazy golden with good white head. Aroma of apple and rhubarb with some pleasant sour, amplest vinegary, notes. Lovely mouthfeel with soft smooth medium body and plenty of fine carbonation. Unusual and really enjoyable flavour. The cooked apple and rhubarb are nicely matched with the pecan and somewhat subtle maple flavours. There’s a nice sour background, mostly citrusy but with some vinegary hints. Unusual and enjoyable.
