Fremont Brewing began as a dream in 2008. Years later, our dream has come true in each and every one of you, our craft beer family. And like every family, we have had our ups and our downs, but we keep coming back together knowing we are stronger together. In your hands is a special nod to you, a gift for now that will continue to give many years from now should you have the patience to wait…Brew 7000. This English-style barleywine ale uses floor-malted English barley, Noble hops, and is aged in 10-15 year-old, single use bourbon barrels for 16 months to bring you a complex and subtle craft beer flavor experience. We brewed this to celebrate brewing our 7000th brew, and we look forward to sharing it with you, our craft beer family. “Barleywine Is Life.” – VWP

22 oz. can shared by Clarkvv. Aroma is oak, toffee, vanilla. Flavor follows with the addition of lingering oak. Medium plus body and ends on light sweetness.

Bottle from Valley Beverage, Sherman Oaks. Hazy, cola brown with ring of head, no lacing. Aroma is strong caramel, raisin, oak, late bourbon. Taste is strong caramel, raisin, toffee, oak, late strong bourbon. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Nice complexity, especially as it warms.

Bottle shared by tfontana on 9/20/25.
Clear brown. Small, light tan head.
Rich and spicy with sweet toffee and good acidity from prune and fig character. Vanilla and light oak tannin with soft, sweet bourbon and rich lingering malts. No booze noted.
Rich, sweet, succulent and spicy with toffee, vanilla, bourbon spice and round oak. This is a dense, rich, intense beer. Wouldn't want Acton of it, but it's fruity, rich, sweet, succulent and lightly spicy with excellent oak and bourbon.

Bottle shared at Free Beer tasting. Very dark brown with very small head. Very sugary, soft booze, vanilla, rye, oak, syrup, soft chocolate, figs. Very sweet, light bitter. Full bodied. Very sweet and boozy but also very tasty.

Big bottle, huge thanks Fin I guess! Murky dark brown, blackish, no real head. Very minerally aroma, heaps of walnuts, light bit of peat, sweetish but dry. Sweet, smooth, bit dusty, but caramelly, coconutty, lightly alcoholl-driven taste, some maple. BIt rough in the finish and too boozy, otherwise very tasty.

Bottle picked up Beer Republic webshop Berkel-Enschot Netherlands, had this in the company of Jonas, Ursula and Marko Saturday 8th February 2025 at home, Manglham we had Lasagna and we're listening to ByteFM. Loz has made three different types of bread and she also made a Gooseberry Crumble Cake and Ice Cream which was great. Pours dark chestnut with not much of a head. Warming and sweet, a little bit boozy but super smooth and a very easy sipper. I am not convinced that it's a particularly accurate English Barley Wine but perhaps that's the Bourbon throwing me off the scent. I like this but perhaps not as much as I hoped.

Bottle. Dark brown. Vanilla tobacco chocolate wood. But it tastes better than it smells; warm chocolate. Flat. Followed by booze.
