473ml can. Jet black colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, beige head. Roasty dark malty and herbal-grassy, piney, hoppy aroma, spicy notes of green onion, dark chocolate. Taste is sweet-ish chocolately and bitter roasty dark malty, piney, grassy and slightly fruity bitter hoppy, hints of chocolate and orange, resinous hints of spruce and coffee. Intense, staggering - fantastic!

T42 Christmas Bottleshare. Opaque dark brown beer, decent tan head. Palette is airy, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, tangy and with a modest sweetness. Trace of dark chocolate. Piney hop. Modest citric fruits turning slightly bitter. Bitterest finish. Not bad just a little tangy.

Can shared in London - many thanks to Kenneth. Pours clear, deep black-brown with a small, creamy khaki head. Moderate ashy roast in the nose, dry cocoa, wood, leathery fruits. Medium sweet flavour with a nice mix of chocolatey dark malts, ashy roast, rindy citrus, oranges. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, with bitter ashy roast, baking cocoa, grapefruit and orange, rindy bitterness. Very good CDA.

Can at L42, thanks to Ken. It pours darkest ruby - brown with a medium tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, charred wood, plummy, juicy, date, cookie dough, rocky road, toasty pine and treacle. The taste is dry, charred wood, burnt pine, bitter - sweet, pithy, zesty, orangey citrus, peppery spice, coffee grounds and a touch of tannin with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent. Robust.
