Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2024. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. Floral hop aroma, some lemon sharpness, rich tea malts and a moderately bitter finish. Good.

Half pint, cask ale shared with Finn at Ice Wharf. Wetherspoon Beer Festival 24. Clear dark amber body, filmy layer, rings of lace down the glass. Slightly spiced herbal hoppy nose. Moderate taste character of bread, almond, and ripe fruits. Drying close, mid-sweet. Easy going. (London, 16.03.2024).

Cask @ Regal Moon, Rochdale. Blonde with a head. Lager style cask ale, but low in this character. Mildly floral.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours golden yellow with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma has mint and floral hops. In the mouth it is smooth, sweet and juicy with some underlying bitterness. Flavour is mainly floral hops with some hints of herbs and corn. Finish is dry and slightly sticky. It’s OK, but somewhat bland.

Cask at the Shakespeare's Head Spoons. Almost clear gold beer, small whitish head. Light palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Thin malts, sweet but not overly so. There is a bright central flavour here. Floral seltzer orchard fruits! No I don't fucken know either! A little floral tangerine before a light and semi dry finish. Cask lager is a bloody tricky beast to pull off and I think this one gets half way there. I like the flavour but it's so unusual, I ain't quite sure if I should like it.

Cask at Archibald Simpsons. It pours clearing pale yellow - blonde with a sturdy white cap. The aroma is soft, mellow, bready, cereal , toasty grain, oats and some dull estery fruits (including pear). The taste is dryish upfront, but quite soft, dull bitterness, cereal, toasted grain, porridge, white bread, lemon curd, pear drops, melon, straw and peppery spice with a dry, pithy finish. Light body and fine, fluffy carbonation. Initially seems simple, but opens up a bit as it warms. Not bad.

Third of a pint, hand-pulled in my local Spoons on 10th March 2024. Golden body, thin white crust, looked insipid and it was! I found it very bland and uninteresting, just enough hops and malts to call it a beer, very disappointing.
