Cask @ Hengler's Circus, Glasgow. Deeper clear golden with a head. Certainly not an atypical brown ale, this one is hoppy with grapefruit evident in both aroma and taste. There's a small bitterness attached although not citric in this instance.

Cask at the Captain Flinders (JDW), Euston on 6th April 2024. Coppery amber with shallow, lasting off-white foam and spot lacing. Leafy hoppiness and caramel malt in aroma. Sweet malts, candied peel and sweet berry fruits in-mouth, and a fruity finish. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Cask handpump at The Barrel Vault, St Pancras, London, Saturday 6th April 2024. This pours amber with a reasonable clarity and a white head. Citrussy and fruity, have I really been poured a brown ale, I am sure she pulled from the Kodiak pump as she went to pour a pint until I corrected her telling her I only needed a half. I suspect that there is a mix up between the Redwood IPA and this but sure she certainly pulled from the Kodiak pump.

1/2 pint, cask at Crosse Keys. Shared with Finn. Wetherspoon Beer Festival, March 24. Next-to-clear amber body, fair lacing from a slowly diminishing pearl white head. Promising aromas of ripe fruits, biscuit, and toffee. Malt-fruity flavours, blend of toffee and peaches. Nice bittersweet tail. Likeable. (London, 16.03.2024)

Cask at the Shakespeare's Head Spoons. Clear deep gold, good pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, light with reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth light pale malts, sweet enough. Rather spiffin hoppage here, bright juicy tangerine and mandarin and a light and semi sweet lemon vibe. Soft pine. Light and semi dry finish. The bright hops make this super drinkable for me.

Pale amber with a frothy white head anda fruity nose. Big tropical fruit hit up front, chewy mouthfeel with subtle biscuit malt and just a hint of floral hop bitterness. Not your average brown ale
