Birra nata dall’idea di produrre una birra chiara che rappresentasse una sorpresa per i sensi, svincolando l’uso comune del cacao esclusivamente per birre scure. Si presenta di colore biondo carico con riflessi dorati, leggermente velata, con una schiuma color crema, di grana media. Il profumo è molto intenso: spicca l’aroma di cacao che accompagna l’olfatto verso fragranze esotiche e di vaniglia conferite dall’uso di luppolo Sorachi in dry hopping, per poi terminare con sentori dolci di miele ed agrumi.
In bocca, la nota prevalentemente dolce e maltata è ben bilanciata dal sale himalayano mentre nel finale sono evidenti un elegante gusto di cacao e un piacevole sentore di cocco.

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso è indirizzato verso il cioccolato. L'intensità olfattiva è normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma ha una buona tenuta ed è di persistenza lunga. La grandezza delle bollicine è media. Il liquido offre una visione offuscata. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono la forma della frizzantezza. Il colore è giallo dorato torbido. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è pronunciato e c'è anche un tocco di umami. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Al palato arrivano note di miele, cereali, cioccolato, frutta secca, resina, agrumi e sale.

KØLF 220917. Golden color with an off-white head. Aroma is chocolate, hop, malt. Flavor is chocolate, hop, malt, cocoa, salt. Interesting beer.

GBBF Day 3. Bottle. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light malts, sweetish, little cream. Clear milk chocolate and lesser white chocolate, well integrated. Good orange and tangerine, More chocolate. Mild bitterness on the light finish. Not that salty or lager like but a pleasant affair all round.

Bottle. Clear golden body with a dense off-white head. Aroma is light with some malt and surprisingly no chocolate. The flavor actually has a distinct touch of chocolate, not very strong in the start, but definitively chocolate. Medium body and some malt and chocolate in aftertaste. A pretty unusually beer as chocolate flavor as chocolate normally to be find in darker ales, and this one is a golden lager type of beer. Not bad, it’s kind of working but still not totally balanced. Might be a novelty but I’m glad to have tasted it. The salt by the way is not very present.

Bottle at the GBBF 2017. Day 3. 10/08/2017. Thank you Kenny. . A clear golden yellow coloured pour with a a loose white head. Aroma is white chocolate, pale grains, subtle,. Flavour is composed of of milky chocolate pale grains, white chocolate,. Palate is semi sweet, frorhy carbonation, grainy. Good.

Bottle at GBBF 2017. Clear gold lasting white head. Good hop aroma. Weird flavour. Some malt some white chocolate. Decent lime hop finish. Herby. Interesting. Nicely hoppy.

Bottle (at koht). Pours yellow-golden. Aroma is malt, chocolate, grab ns. Flavor is sweet and bitter, cocoa, malt, tea ns. Finish is dry and cocoa. Overall: ok lager.
