6/8/2025. Cask at GBBF 2025. Malty, husky, slightly starchy aroma. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Some dryness to finish. Not a big fan of this.

Gylden brun klar med beige skum. Lukter kjeller, papp og kvae. Smaker kvae, noe syltetøy og karamell. Kort.

My last rating of 2024; 500ml bottle into an old Abbot Ale glass tankard at home before the New Years Eve celebrations begin (it's just gone 17:00 here in Shropshire). Decent off white head on a clean and clear amber body, there is a red hue to it's colour though, so it can be a Red IPA. More hop bitter than malty sweet, the hops dominating the aroma and taste. Another beer from Monty's that is worth trying.

Bottle @ home. Almost clear amber body under a fine tan head. Mild aroma of malt, biscuit and a hint of fruity hops. Taste is smooth, sweet malt, light toffee, biscuit, some fruity hops and moderate bitterness. Medium to light bodied with a malt driven aftertaste. Nothing amazing, but well made and very food friendly British style red IPA. Actually quite impressive flavor wise withing the style and moderate ABV.

500 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.2%. Clear reddish brown colour, large head, slightly off-white. Aroma of malts, nuts and burnt caramel. The flavour has a moderate but pleasant fruitiness, followed by malty and nutty notes. Moderate bitterness, nice to drink.

Cask at Darlington Snooker Club Beer Festival 2024. Gluten Free. Reddish amber colour, thin white foam head and aroma of malt, citrus hint. Taste is sweetish malty, caramel, biscuit, mellow citrus and earthy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable

Cask @ Cromwell's Tap House. Pours a hazed amber, off-white head. Aroma is general amber malt, perhaps a gentle hop sweetness. Flavour profile brings a very mild but noticeable hop influence, giving a nod towards it's Red IPA aspirations but not quite getting there. It's a malt-led beer at heart, with a firm bitterness, but falls a little short of the mark.
