New hazy DIPA we made with Horus ??

For this hazy we utilized Citra, McKenzie, and experimental HBC 1019 hops

Really big floral/bouquet ? notes from the Citra leaf dust ?

The aromas of these experimental HBC 1019 hops have been described as "a potent but pleasing mix of citrus, tropical, and stone fruits. With notes of coconut, Valencia oranges, caramelized bananas, peaches, and honeydew melon."

All in all, this hazy has a candy, fruit, thyme, pine, melon thing going on that comes together really nicely

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Hazy orange brown colour, thin white foam head and aroma of caramel, fruity, orange, flowery, citrus, resiny hops. Taste is sweet, malty, caramel, stone fruits, orangey citrus, pine, with floral hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry hoppy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Sample thanks to Grumbo, shared with blackhaddock at his gaff. Pours a mysterious murky peachy pinkish greyish colour with no head. Never seen a DIPA this colour before. Bizarre. Tastes nice enough..sweet tropical fruit, lychee and papaya notes, very light body for 8%. Tastes a little off-kilter but nice enough.

Shared Panda with minutemat at my place on 10th April 2024. Cheers Graham (Grumbo). Dirty, murky pinky/yellow, wisp on top. Fruity and sweet, like a fruit cocktail with icing sugar sprinkled all over. Actually enjoyed it!

24th February 2024
Can. Hazy orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, slightly airy and soft, good fine minerally carbonation. Fluffy malts, a fluffy creamy sweetness. Hops start with a light pine and a mild hop spice. Savoury skunk is particularly savoury here. HBC1019 blazes like the sun, Sabro and limey Sorachi aspects evident and dominant, so how does one appreciate the McKenzie hops here? Well there is definitely something else going on, beyond HBC1019 and it's spicy bitterish Bergamot flavour. Touch of black pepper, quite rounded. Light and semi dry finish leaves a mild hop spice linger and very fucken complex fruity hop residue! Rather good, what?
