Thanx to a lot of people making this beer available for me at last. It’s an unclear pale yellow golden body under a short lasting white head. Aroma of fresh grapefruit, unripe pineapple and tropical fruit. Smells nice but rather plain with the fruity hops and nothing else. Flavor is much in the same direction, it’s a pure thirst quencher with nothing else than a seductively fruitiness. Feels nice and refreshing for a sip or two, then there is nothing. The therm “high drinkability” is often used for this kind of beers, but for me there has to be something else to avid the feeling of complete boredom at the bottom of the glass. It’s not bad but this beer has no personality, no identity, no signature, it tastes exactly like hundred other pale ale, session something or hoppy lagers these days. Of course it smells nice and feels refreshing for a few sips and works great a hot summer day, but giving this a honestly unbiased rating based on how it really tastes this misses a lot in my book. Not expecting a hoppy barley wine, but this is not bringing anything new to the marked at all, even Lervig already has several of exactly the same beer in the marked already. Just a little bit body and some bitter sting would have made an enormous differense, the fruity hop aroma is already close to perfection so why stop there? The answer is probably that this is exactly what the marked wants. Yes I know – craft beer is dead.

Can. Courtesy of Gunnar. It pours an unclear orange-golden colored body and a dense finger-thick white head. Piney, grapefruity and lightly grassy aroma with a light touch of pale malts. Even some orange zest. It's medium bodied, dry and quite nicely carbonated, with a pleasant bitterness level. A bit more body wouldn't hurt, although in the summer heat it's fine just as it is. Grapefruit, citrus zest, orange notes and a very light pale malt touch in the flavor. Medium length finish with mostly citrusy hops. Overall, a pleasant one indeed, but at 4.2% only, it's a bit light. 190720
