Knäck is a delightful dark mild inspired by the Swedish Christmas treat of the same name. It’s bold and inviting, with a delicate white head of tight foam and carries a rich malty soul, giving notes of hard toffee and roasted nuts.

Bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours darkest brown with a decent fluffy light tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, plain chocolate, cacao nibs, nutty, praline, toffee.and some Eccles cake. The taste is firmly dry, bitter - sweet, dark chocolate, cacao nibs, earthy, dark roasted malt, toasty, toffee, rocky road, coffee grounds, touch of umami) liquorice and some tobacco with a drying, toasty finish. Average body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Decent robust mild.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with orange tinges. Chocolate, caramel and berries in the aroma. Slightly earthy taste with coffee, nuts and some slightly toasted and roasted notes. Not bad, but not much toffee and therefore not much like knäck.

Bottled 500ml (KSM Kampus)
Brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma is strangly ashy, light maltyness. Light-bodied. Toastyness, ash, malts, not much toffee found here. Quite different than its description.
