Black with a dark head. Full creamy body. Notes of roasted malt, cocoa, dark chocolate, whiskey, oak, dark fruits, raisin, coffee, and a touch of earth. Really nice.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierwinkelier', best before October 2028. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, stable, light brown head. Intensely sweetish-malty, quite roasty and slightly fruity aroma of praline, espresso, roasted hazelnut, whisky and some dark fruits. Fairly sweet, malty, quite roasty and a bit fruity taste of praline, espresso, dark fruits, whisky, some licorice and a touch of roasted hazelnut, followed by a long, quite roasty-bitter, a bit boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Lovely beer, exactly what I hoped for.

Op tap bij Borefts '24. Zwarte kleur, dunne beige kraag. Koffie, gebrand, mokka, hout, helaas ook groene appels en dan is het bij mij wel klaar. Matig.

20/IX/24 - on tap @ Borefts Day 1, Brouwerij De Molen (Bodegraven), BB: n/a (2024-940) Thanks to the Brewver crew for sharing today’s beers!
Clear dark brown to black beer, big creamy dense beige head, unstable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: meh, overripe melons, pretty oxidized, smells like a bad barrel aged Struise beer, don’t know how or why. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: good roast up front, bitter, malty, grains, coffee, a bit sourish, alcohol, meh. Aftertaste: very bitter, dry, coffee, mocha, some coffee grit, don’t like it very much.

Cremiger, intensiv malziger Beginn. Süßlich-herb, schokoladig, spritzig. Viel Kaffee, langer Abgang und Nachgeschmack. 12/10/9/11//11
