This innovative style uses a classic blend of Maris Otter malted barley and Cara malt which allows the modern UK grown hops to sing!
Traditional Challenger hops give a forgiving, well rounded bitterness and newly developed Harlequin and Olicana hops impart their unique flavours. Peach, pineapple, mango and passionfruit notes all show through in this IPA which is then boosted by the Verdant yeast for fermentation.
Waterwitch was the name of an early 1990s sailing lugger that fished the inshore waters around Tenby and was named after the mythical mermaids who watched over the local fishermen.

Clear rich gold beer, small off white head. Smooth palate, a little dry, decent fine carbonation. A smooth malt base, trace of unsweet caramel and, an edge-of-perception smoke. Hops bring soft pine and mild orchard fruits, touch of smooth overripe orange. Nice enough, could do with more hops of course.

21/3/2024. Bottle shared by the Shropshire boys, cheers. Pours a little unclear amber brown with a small bubbly/frothy off-white head. Aroma is malty, citrus, toasted, biscuit, a little stewed fruits, hint of seaweed. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Average to soft carbonation. Quite drinkable.

500ml bottle shared with Jeremy. Pours amber, off-white head. Strange salty sea air nose. Taste presents distinctly salty elements, perhaps a hint of seaweed, taking things on a citrussy tangent with an accompanying bitterness. A little different.

500ml bottle, a gift from Steph, shared with munitemat (with a Panda for Grumbo) on a mega tasting session, 6th November 2023. Clean amber body, off-white crown. Caramel sweet with a good hop blend for bitterness and a slight fruity twist, it's decent!
