Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 30th December 2024. Brownish copper with shallow off-white foam affording full lacing. Malty aroma. Bitter and grassy finish developing after transient fruits during liquid pass. Bitterness lasting a fair while, and all the more satisfying for that. Medium to light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Superb.

Cask @ Tap and Can with Richard Vernon. Clear deep gold, white head. Light bitterness, very minimal cascade, hop character doesn't exactly sing and neither was it expected to.. don't quite understand the point in green hop beers but there you go

On cask at Port Street Beer House, pours a clear copper with a small off-white head. Aroma is gentle, bringing out very subtle, woody, piney English hops, with a dry bready malt base. Flavour has an overripe fruit character, and slightly stale bready malt. Not a big fan of the hop expression here. It's alright.

Cask @ Beer House, Sheffield. Deep golden with a creamy head. Full and fairly smooth tasting, surprisingly so for its low strength. Hoppy brew with some fruitiness in taste.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Mild have on this gold beer, malts are sweet and semi dry. The UK Cascade hops provide a mild ripe citrus with decent amounts of peel and floralness. Light crisp dry finish brings a little hop spice. Nicely UK hopped on cask offering.

500ml bottle - Pours a clear orange amber colour with a small frothy off-white head that settled. The aroma is grassy, green berries with some light herbal notes. A moderately bitter semi-sweet taste, sweet malts, grassy, green berries and light herbal flavours with a hoppy bitterness in the finish.

Cask at Pigs Ear '21, day two, 01/12/21. Golden with an off white covering. Nose is tangy bitter fruit rinds, orange peel, hedgerow, grains. Taste comprises grass, herb, orange peel, green berry tinged, hint of apple, dusty straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close climaxing with green hop bite. A solid exponent of green hop bier.
