The West Coast IPA is a modern classic that changed perceptions of what beer could be, and paved the way for today's craft beer scene. Our own approach is informed by experiences working with trailblazing brewers and diving deep into their celebrated beers, so this delivers the hallmark layered bitterness and a clean, dry, resinous finish alongside punchy flavours provided by a blend of modern and classic hop varietals.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at the London taproom. Pours crystal clear honey-gold with a creamy, off-white head. Great throwback gear, lots of bitter pine, dried tropical fruits, grass, sun-kissed pale malts, some boozy kick. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Warming and resinous on the finish, some orange rind, more piney and grassy bitterness, supportive malts. This definitely brings me back to my early days in the game.

Can from Cork & Cask. Clear deep golden body with a thin off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pine, orange marmalade and honey. Flavour of resin and orange zest. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A solid IPA.

Can. Clear, deep gold. Thin white head stays the course. Nose has sticky pine. Marmalade. Weed. Spicy grain. Taste is super bitter, with loads of sappy pine and woody herb. Medium body. Crisp carbonation. Sappy bitterness lasts an age on the finish. Not too fancy, but most definitely really good.

Can at home, 11/05/19. Clear golden amber with a handsome off white cap. Nose is bitter orange, grass, ripe pineapple, toasted malts, melon, light weed. Taste comprises sharp citric pith, light minerality, grass, grapefruit zest, light pine coating. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with semi aggressive grassy hop bitterness. Solid fresh and easy drinking IPA.

Can from 73 Enid St. Pours clear orange gold with a decent white head. Aroma is apricot, resin and grain. Taste is a big pine resin hit, apricot and malt adds some sweetness but still quite a dry and bitter finish. Nice and easy to drink. Good stuff.
