1st July 2020 Can. A crumpled can, was not crumpled when I got it but has self crumpled in the fridge. Pretty much a clear amber beer. No head Palate is light and semi dry, some very mild carbonation. Watery malts, absolutely zero dark malt character. Light touches of pine and very very watery citrus. Light finish. Abysmal, struggling to think of a worse beer this year, or last come to that. Jaysus! 1.2
Okay my bad! Something went a little skewy with my fridge and it temporarily turmed itself in to a freezer. I can only think this beer got completely frozen and then seperated out when thawed. What I poured and rated was the watery condense on top. When I later emptied the can, it poured an opaque black - brown and rich earthy dark malts with a touch of dark chocolate. The expected piney hop and a decent amount of hop spice. Not bad at all considering the process it had gone through.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from Mother Kelly's Bethnal Green. Pours deep brown-black with a thick, frothy beige head. It's a good and sturdy CDA, with strong ashy roast, some charcoal dryness, bitter dark chocolate, torched pine, nips of grapefruit peel. Medium to full bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Light warmth in the finish, hints of resin, more strong ashy roast, some espresso, more baking cocoa. Drying aftertaste, lingering bittersweet cocoa. Solid.

Can, 7.0%. Mild piney hop aroma. Black colour, seems hazy. Small light brown head. The flavour is sweetish from the hops to begin with, turning roasted with a dark chocolate note and bitterness. Ending on a piney and jammy hop note.

Tap @ Bakgården. Black body with a thin, fading beige head. Aroma has dark malt, chocolate and some dry fruit. Taste is quite sweet, dark malt, hint of chocolate and some fruit, nice bitterness. Fine body and nice in aftertaste, ends a bit on the sweeter side. Nice and tasty, dangerously easy drinkable.
BIPA done right.
Head to head comparison with Starvation BIPA from Reservoir Dogs;very aromatic aroma of toasted bread, crust, chocolate, grapefruit, honey melon
Bevog Festival 2019. Smells roasty, earthy and hoppy, taste is fruity and very, very good.
