At the Regen train station, many thanks Fin, and Jonas really as well, for sharing it around before I had to rush into the stupidly overpriced but cute Waldbahn (10.30€ for a 25 minute ride? XD) to Bayerisch Eisenstein / Železná Ruda. And what's with the ticket machine refusing foreign cards?!
But anyway, enough gripes with the German train system. The beer. Slightly darker amber-golden body, reddish, bit hazy, good off-white head. Caramelly and somewhat spicy aroma. Caramelly, almost syrupy wheaty taste, some stone fruit esters, not too spicy. Dunno, quite bockish for a Weizenbock in a way, less Weizenbockish. Didn't thrill.

Bottle at the Regen train station. Spicy aroma. Amber clouds, white head. Medium full dry chewy, licorice root, cloves, light fruit, dry mouthfeel.

Bottle, shared at Regen train station. Amber chestnut. Toffee banana caramel. Full, juicy, chewy. Banana cream, vanilla. Light. Like.

Bottle picked up from Fristo Getrankemarkt, Marktheidenfeld and consumed at home Thursday 30th October 2025 after a visit to Dampfbierbrauerei for a brewery trip earlier. Is it a lively pour or was I just a tad careless, probably the latter. Pours hazy gold/light amber with a huge frothy white head, nicely soft in the mouth, very drinkable considering the 6.8%abv, fresh, bannoffee comes through, wheaty, it's nicely warming but I like the freshness. This is very enjoyable.

Kenne ich als Martinsbräu Sankt Martinus Weizenbock. Heller Weizenbock mit 6,8 % Alkohol und 16,5 % Stammwürze. Starke Trübung, geringe Schaumentwicklung. Wunderbar weich. Wenig, aber schön feinperlige Kohlensäure. Fruchtig, leichte Sektnoten, minimal Balsamico. Ausgewogene Süße. Nur wenig Malz. Hintenraus bitter Noten. Erstaunlich süffig für einen Bock. Gibt aber geschmacksintensivere Starkbiere. Trotzdem kein schlechter Weizenbock.

Bottle 500ml. swing top @ home.[ As Martinsbräu Weizenbock ].Unclear - hazy medium orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, sweet malt, light caramel, moderate to heavy yeasty, weizen yeast, riped fruit, banana, fruity yeast. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet yeast, caramel, wheat, weizen yeast, banana yeast, dried fruit - riped fruit. 50cl swing top bottle. A hazy orange golden beer with a off-white head. Aroma of ripe and sweet banana, wheat and phenols. Taste of ripe banana, sweet banana, phenols, some clove.

500ml bottle. Hazy, orangey dark golden to amber colour with average, thick, very homogeneous, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Wheaty, fruity and yeasty spicy aroma, hints of pear and banana, banana leaves, notes of clove, some nutmeg, a touch of mustard seed, Taste is sweet-ish, wheaty fruity, hints of honey and banana, spicy-yeasty, tart-ish counterpart with a touch of mustard seed, some clove; full body, lingering, sweet-ish finish, minimally sticky palate.
