Imperial Stout brewed with local Wildflower Honey, and conditioned on Toasted Cacao Nibs, and a touch of Ceylon Cinnamon.

Back in May we teamed up with our good friends Spartacus Brewing in Brazil, to brew a massive Imperial Stouts, that we would treat with some adjuncts. The beer was inspired by the Brazilian desert Pão de mel; a Chocolate Cake made with honey & Cinnamon. The end result is a highly decadent Imperial Stout, and the most chocolatey beer we've ever brewed. We layered the base with copoius varieties of chocolate malt, along with local wildflower honey. After fermentation, the beer was laid to rest on stainless for a few months to mellow, and finally conditioned on toasted Cacao nibs, and a touch of Ceylon Cinnamon. The beer is named after the ancient Greek personification of Gluttony; Adephagia, as this is a seriously decadent & rich beer!

Can 330ml @ gunnfryd. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, coffee, alcohol and cinnamon. Taste is heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long warm, roasted, chocolate, coffee, caramel and cinnamon finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Can 33 cl. Pours thick, black and jammy leaving fatty curtains and a smal, rough, brownish head. The aroma is....challenging, some spicy gunpowder atop very sweet roast on an almost flat backdrop. Rich, sweet, roasty body with molasses and prunes and licorice while the tea and cinnamon isn't very outspoken. Warming finish. 260226

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino media, mediamente persistente. Al naso note note di cioccolata, gianduia, caffè, liquirizia, spezie (cannella). In bocca è molto ben equilibrata, le aggiunte non sono invadenti, abboccata all'attacco e amara perfetta in chiusura. Corpo pieno, carbonazione leggera. Manca l'effetto wow, ma è bilanciata bene.
