Just a light haze on this yellowish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Slightly thin malts deliver a slightly thin creamy sweetness. Well if you believe the hype, this hop delivers a smorgasbord of fruity goodness. First impressions are of something akin to Idaho 7 in as much as there is complex fruits equally matched by cooling pine. But the fruits themselves are a different array. I get the strawberry and melon, I definitely do not get pineapple, banana or mango. Black cherry comes through on the back end, okay then a whisper of pineapple but a fraction of a percent of what Sabro would deliver, mild candy fruits. A little bitterness on the back end and a trace of savoury skunk, barely there.Finishes smooth and semi dry. Very nice indeed. A cracking new hop and well showcased here by Kernel. Need someone to dipa this hop to death. Wish that would be Kernel but that ain't gonna happen.

Keg at Mother Arch ii, 16/09/22. Lightly hazed golden orange with a good sized off white head that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is mellow citric flesh, grass, tangerine, citric tinged straw, biscuit crumbs. Taste comprises orange zest, grass, light pine, toasted malts, melon, citric tinged straw, light herb. Medium bodied ,fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with mellow balanced juicy come grassy hop bitterness. OK pale but a little reserved for me and teetering between 3rd and 4th gear.

Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield. Hazed dark straw colour. Typically lovely Kernel swede. How do they manage it every time? Anyhoo. Nose has biscuity cracker malt. Floral hop. Maybe a bit of sage, oddly. Taste is light bitter. Some malt sweetness. Clean and light mouthfeel. Fine foamy carbonation. Bitterness ramps up on the finish.

Tap at the kernel tap room bermondsey. A lihjt hazed golden orange coloured pour with a lasting white froth. Aroma is light fresh hop, chopped mint, cucumber,, floral notes, pale bready grains. Flavour is composed of rustic bready grains, light floral hop, melon, mint, squeeze of citrus. Very delicate. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, light grains, moderate carbonation. Ok.

From tap at the taproom in Bermondsey 08.09.22. Hazy pale straw colour. Dense and persistent off-white head and lacing. Fine and complex aroma and taste of pale malt, various citrus, papaya, lychee and tamarind. And a hint i both aroma and taste of something undefineable. And not the same undefineable. Perhaps it is something smokelike. Very exciting – I’ll give it an extra point for that!

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Figs & Grain. Pours clear yellow-gold with a frothy, white head. Lightly sweet, some flower petals, citrus rind, a little grass, crisp pale malts. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Clean and balanced finish, a little pine, lingering grass, pale biscuits, lemon rind. Superb.
