440ml can between 5 at the 31st May 2026 Bandstand Beer Gathering in Shrewsbury. Cheers Mark for this new 'blast from the past'. Poured with a slight haze and a white topping on each glass. Not how I remember it of course, but it's refreshing and easy to swill, just like the original version. Bitter with a semi sweetness, but not much going on really.

cloudy yellow, smooth medium white head
flowery hoppy aroma almost grapefruit with sugar and green grapes. in fact quite hoppy, hops are driving the aroma. also cereral malts, but at least dry and crisp.
flavor is slightly bitter (malty bitter) very fait flowery note from hops - while aroma had lots of hops, flavor has nearly none, only some fairly tasteless hoppy bitternes. Nevertheless an eas drinking lowish alc beer, definetly sessionable.slightly bready in a way that suits it well. you could do many pints of this easily.

Can. Too young for the original.

Nose is tangerine, citrus, ripe mango. Pleasent. Taste follows, with light mango, hints of tangerine, malt, and a lightly bitter finish. It's solid and better than I'd assumed given the infamous brand name.

Sample at Palace Hall 13/12/2025 Malmö December tasting - light sweet malty and fruity with light citrusy fruity notes, malty backing, light bitter hoppy finish. So so.

Slightly cloudy yellow colour, mid-sized white head. Malty, grainy, a bit fruity nose. Light-bodied. Some hops, pale malts, fruits. Very easy. "Drinks like a lager". This can is made for Finnish market. Does not mention about Allsopp at all.

Nice and clean, if a little basic. Some lean pale malts, mild bitter lemon rind, crisp biscuits, straw. Well balanced overall. Goes down easy.

Clear, light gold. Fine-bubble white head. The aroma has a subdued citrus character. Delicate malts in the background. The body is light but not watery, with a dry rachis. A slightly bitter, zesty, citrus note. Delicately effervescent carbonation. A long, dry, slightly tart finish, with a predominantly lemon and lime albedo. Pleasant and refreshing. I wonder what it tasted like half a century ago.
