On Tap at Bittercreek, Boise Hazy medium redish brown. Fine dense beige head. Great combination of Belgian fruity malt notes and dark toasted maltiness. Some dark ripe fruit hints and a littel boozy at the end. very smooth as it warms up. Tasty

Poured from a 22 oz bottle that’s at least a few years old. Aroma is malt forward with lots of dark caramel and toffee. Lighter toasted bread notes with hints of chocolate. Some light alcohol spice. Notes of candied plums, cherries and raisin. Some light phenolic notes with a cinnamon, nutmeg type character. Light oxidation in the form of wet cardboard that becomes more pronounced as the beer warms. Pours brown with some burnt amber hues and a medium sized, thick tan head that recedes to the edges where it lingers for a bit. Light lacing and medium length legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with a lot of caramel and raisin notes. Quite a bit of toffee with lighter toasted bread and faint chocolate notes. Down light cherry, plum and prune notes. Light alcohol spice. Notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom and cumin. A bit of oxidation in the form of wet cardboard. Mouthfeel is medium to.medium.full bodied and a bit slick with moderate carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol notes. Overall, this really isn’t my favorite style of beer and the oxidation hurts it a bit, but there are nice malt notes. The yeast character is also quite strong and works with the malt adding fruitiness and spices.

Bottle from Boise Co-op. Pours out a nice mahogany hue, small, soft beige head. Initial whiff of cherries had me thinking of a kriek. Taste changes the tone a bit with some pit fruit, raisins, dates and just enough Belgian yeast to wrap it all up. Comes off as a lighter weight quad. Very pleasant surprise.

650 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 10%. Mahogani colour, large off-white head. Pleasant malty aroma of brown kandij sugar, caramel, dark dried fruits and mild spices. Rich and medium sweet flavour, with all the elements of the aroma, but now more pronounced. The 10% alcohol are well hidden, but reveal themselves in a warming throatfeel. Very good beer.

Beware!
