33cl Fles van Etre Gourmet. 2nd Batch, 7.5% ABV. Gusher. Amber kleur, vuilwitte kraag.

Potpourri then a weird shot of bretta, very odd in delivery. Kind of disjointed. Bottle I've had for a while.

Pours a super carbonated and heady pale yellow from bouteille. Funky yeast, hoppy notes, fruity notes

I liked this a lot and generally like Fantome. Dry with citrus and lots of grassy drying hops. Hay and a floral character. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Garden Ghost on 24 Jun 2023 at 23:34 - Score: 8

Poured from a 330 ml bottle lot number 06 07 22. Aroma is moderately hop forward with notes of floral, spicy, herbal, grassy hop notes. Medium cracker malt notes with hints of caramel and a bit of a smokey note. Hints of alcohol. Pours a fairly clear golden color with some copper hues and a ridiculously large slightly off white head that shows really good retention as I wish it would recede. Seems to have some floaties in it, not sure if yeast, hops, or protein. Moderate lacing once the head recedes and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with medium light cracker malt notes and light caramel notes with hints of graham crackers and bread. Fairly strong bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderately strong grassy, herbal, woodsy hop notes with a bit of a floral note. Hints of citrus. A weird, unpleasant chemical note in the finish that reminds me a bit of vomit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with very high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, not a great beer although it grows on me a bit as I drink it. It's about what I would expect a Belgian IPA to be like with a weird, unpleasant note as well. The bitterness is fairly extreme as well.

Tap at Afterthought. Big grapefruit aroma. Overboard grapefruit, some other zesty botanicals or perhaps just a really pronounced yeast tone. Weird and old school Belgian in it's uniqueness, but not the most impressive brew.

Slight haze, pale amber, thin head, funky nose, a little brett, and more than a little pedio. So much hop, very bitter. Light malt, quite yeasty and yeah, probably too much bitterness, as it overwhelms the other elements.

On tap at Bottleworks, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out bitingly bitter grapefruit zest, floral notes, and some funky, rustic saison yeast. Flavour is extremely bitter, with intense grapefruit zest, rustic saison yeast, and intense bitterness. Unbalanced—too bitter—but there's some nice rustic character underneath. Difficult beer, as so often delivered by Fantome.
