Bien des choses sont hors de notre champ de vision et se cachent dans les angles morts… Notamment, la brutalité d’une bière qui peut paraître relativement douce de prime abord, mais qui est dans les faits le total opposé. C’est un peu ce qui vous attend dans le virage avec cette Triple IPA comprenant un houblonnage explosif de Superdelic, Citra, Citra Incognito et Citra Lupomax. Une nouvelle sensation de la Nouvelle-Zélande assortie d’une déclinaison de Citra sous différentes formes.

On tap at River Road Tavern after work.
Cloudy murky dark yellow color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Fresh squeezed juice with bits of earth and grass with a hint of bready malt. Ugly beer but smells and drinks great.

Intense with a plethora of tropical and citrus fruity goodness, lots of papaya and mango, tangerine, pineapple, honeydew melon, thick creamy sweet malty backbone, robust solid hoppy finish. Top drawer.

Color: Very hazy orange, white head. Aroma: Hoppy, citrus fruit, dank. Taste: Hoppy, citrus fruit, weedy dank, nettles, a bit resinous. Over moderate bitterness, moderate to over moderate sweetness. Very smooth and quite dense malty base. Long lasting dry-ish bittery and weedy finish. Over medium body, average carbonation. Nice bitterness, especially for a 10% TIPA. Another very nice Messorem.

473ml can. Opaque yellow, white head. Aroma of ripe mango, guava, papaya. Taste of juicy ripe tropical fruits, candied mango, papaya, grapefruit, pineapple, dank herbal, sweet but has a strong pithy hop bitterness at the end, with a bit of booze. Full bodied. Great TIPA.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Murky gold beer, tiny pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, a slight viscosity, good fine carbonation. Smooth creamy malts. Hops spice starts to nibble from the get go. Light pine. Some bright citrus hoppy fruits but with the creamy malts and the now fairly strong hop spice, it's hard to appreciate their nuances. Spicy hop finish. Full on dipa. Nice.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 13/09/24. Hazed orange yellow with a just off white cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is bitter tropicana, dank chimes, weed, hop spice, pine resin, guava, mandarin, mango pulp. Taste comprises ripe tropical fruits, guava, grapefruit, pine resin, dank spike, raw pineapple, mango flesh, lychee. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, drying close peppered with danko come resinous hop bitterness allied to a balanced rising boost. Solid TIPA maintaining a good bitter balance throughout.
