We’ll shot this one from the rooftops until we’re physically dragged down – in a world of soupy, pulpy juicebombs, sometimes there ain’t nothing more relaxing than just a simple, clean, crisp pale ale. With the hangover of the festive period still lingering, we decided to go back to square one and create something a little more on the sessionable side of things; something that we can go back to again and again without having to worry about our heads the next morning. Broken Poke doesn’t skirt on the hops; we’ve packed this beer to the nines with Idaho 7, Simcoe, Amarillo and HBC 630, and the result is a beer that bursts with the usual Polly’s checklist – tropical, juicy, and sweet vibes, but much more balanced and approachable thanks to the pithy citrus, orange peel and lemon notes to keep everything in check.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 26 March 2024) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of lemon peel, grapefruit, grass and white bread. Fruity, hoppy taste with grapefruit, lemon, grass, white bread, resin and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and refreshing, highly drinkable. Very nice.
