Cask @ Beer Shack, Burnley. Amber brown in colour with a small head. Has a sweetened character, subdued somewhat by its floralness. Has some fruit in its aroma and taste too with a hint of chocolate in the former.

Cask at London Fields Tap Room. It pours deep amber with minimal head. The nose is earthy, wood, varnish, cake, toffee, light spice and dirt. The taste is oily, wood, leather, toffee, dried fruit and earth. Medium body, low carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Not a whole lot to it, but not bad.

Cask at London Fields brewery taproom - London. Pours clear amber with a soft, foamy head. The nose has caramel, bread, old berries. Medium sweet flavor with some leafy hops, more caramel, bread, ripe orange, plum. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet to finish, faintly syrupy, with bready malts, nips of toffee, some further ripe fruits. Condition could be better. Fair.

(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 26 Nov 2011) Ruby colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, red fruit and orange peel. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, orange peel and a fairly sweet finish with a gentle bitterness. Medium body. Well balanced and quite enjoyable.
