Cask @ Victorian Craft Beer Cafe, Halifax. Golden with a thinnish head. Hoppy, and a touch dry, it’s not overly stated in its tropical fruitiness, although it’s still flavoursome.

Bottle from Carrington’s, Chorlton, Manchester [251114]
Light yellow orange, hazy, thin bubbly head
Aroma - Almost nothing, hint of monkey nut, old grass
Taste of light fruits, soft light sweet malts, grassy hop, getting those peanut shells again, old bitter lemon zest
Palate - Little carb, medium body, fairly bitter. Finish is very dry, bitter finish
Overall - Hops have faded. Very dry. Iffy condition. Not great.

Cask, handpump at the Crown Posada, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Byker, Wednesday 30th September 2014. Pours light gold with a filmy white covering. A slight biscuity bite and a little confectionary feel to this. Soft mouthfeel but nice very easy sipper (as name suggests) Like it. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

Hazy gold beer, big pale cream coloured head. Palate is light, airy and mildly crisp, semi dry. Very mellow sweet malt, touch of evaporated milk. Hops are pithy orange and sweet floralness. Dry pine and a dry finish. Not hanging together for me, a bit messy - especially the sweet milk.

Cask at The Swan Inn - Liverpool. Pours clear gold with a frothy white cap. Fairly bright and juicy citrus in the nose, some dry hay, biscuity pale malts. Medium seeet flavor with lemon, tangerine, bitter grass and hay, slight grain husks and straw. Medium bodied with fine, softened carbonation; good condition. More citrusy hops and grassy bitterness in the finishing with balancing pale, dry and lightly biscuity malts. Respectable.

Bottle, Chester Beer & Wine. Poured a hazy, pissy gold with a white head that faded to nowt. Sweetish nose had notes of green apple and a little piney hop. Flavour had notes of wood and some vague fruitiness in tandem with some earthy hop bitterness. Drinkable but nothing stellar.

Bottle from Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy, straw colour. Thin, bubbly, broken, white head. Fusty, cellar like, grapiness. Some lemongrass. Some bubblegum. Taste is dry, lightly bitter. A papery fustiness pretty much overwhelms. Not one I’d have again.

Medium-to-big offwhite head. Slightly hazy yellow body has some floaties, even though I tried to keep them in the bottle. Sugary cream cake and grape aroma with herbal wooden notes. Dryish resiny strawy grape taste with papery mealy wooden notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, dusty mouthfeel. Dryish strawy resiny aftertaste with herbal wooden notes. Nice, drinkable, full of flavour.
