341ml (thx, Marc-Olivier L.!) @ Ryan's after another freaking crazy weekend 🤪 Appearance: almost black with a white beige head. Aroma: kinda weird grassy (most probably from the barrel), thin. Can't find any cocoa or vanilla. Some roasted malts. Taste: along the same lines, there are some harsh earthy notes from cocoa. No vanilla. No good barrel. Overall: a disappointment.

Poured from 341mL bottle (bottled 2023-10-20; Lot: 01). Near black with small beige head. Aroma has a touch of wood glue, some roast. Taste doesn't have the wood glue issue, but barrel isn't great. Roast and a hint of chocolate, not picking up vanilla, thinner medium body. Needs improvement.

A deep dark stout with a very thick creamy light brown head. In aroma, nice chocolate malt with dark fruits, light grassy hops, light woody notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice chocolate malt with dark fruits, light licorice, light woody notes, pleasant. On tap at St Jérôme location.
