Aromas of fudge fondant, chocolate cake, vanilla, and velvety coffee accompanied by esters of dark fruits reminiscent of dried prunes.
The pastry character is very evident.
A small semi‑creamy foam settles and holds moderately well on the black, opaque liquid.
Smooth and full‑bodied on the palate, with a strongly chocolatey environment, accents of vanilla, coconut, caramel, coffee, and esters of molasses and dark fruits.
Remarkable complexity.
The alcohol is barely perceptible and very well integrated .
The pastry character is in perfect balance with the stout base.
Bitterness is rather mild but noticeable.
The finish is dominated by residual sweetness.
Extremely flavorful, complex, and harmonious.
A true dessert.

Le caractère pâtissier est très évident.
Une petite mousse semi crémeuse se dépose et se maintient moyennement bien sur le liquide noir et opaque.
Onctueuse et plein de corps en bouche avec un environnement chocolaté très prononcé, des accents de vanille, de noix de coco, de caramel, de café avec esters de mélasse et de fruits noirs.
Complexité remarquable.
L’alcool est à peine perceptible et très bien intégré à l’ensemble.
Le caractère pâtissier est en parfait équilibre avec la base de stout.
L’amertume est assez douce mais notable.
La finale est envahie par le sucre résiduel.
Extrêmement goûteuse, complexe et harmonieuse.
Un vrai dessert.

On tap at barhop. Jet black, large mocha head. Aroma is huge roast, black, burnt coffee, molasses, vanilla, light soy. Poly mouth feel, soft carb, medium leaning towards high bitterness. Very sweet finish, strong coffee, but a super sweet vanilla, and burnt brown sugar.

12oz (thx, Phill!) @ Matt's house. Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: a lot of quite weird coffee, with some coconut and coffee interfering. Taste: along the same lines, American oak is quite noticeable, very roasty. Overall: not my thing.

Dark brown. There's certainly some coffee in there, with a light chocolate note. Light vanilla. There's a nice toasted coconut note, some alcohol, lots of chocolate, a touch of coffee. So pretty good complexity, and everything comes across balanced, if a bit to the boozy side.

355mL can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of intense coffee upfront, followed by vanilla, and a touch of coffee. Flavour is full of intense espresso, followed by vanilla and a touch of coconut. Lots of cocoa powder on the finish, with vanilla, coffee and coconut expressions. Very good.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of deep dry black chocolate notes with some dry roasted coffee notes with some vanilla and coconut notes. Taste is also a mix of black chocolate notes with some floral coffee notes with vanilla and coconut notes with a perfumy finish. Body is about average with good carbonation with no real discernible alcohol notes. Enjoyable but feels a bit too fake and somewhat unbalanced.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, bourbon barrel notes, alcohol warmth, light coconut, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, coconut cream, vanilla, light coffee, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at brewery.
