Bottle from the Grumpy Goat, Reading. Bit of a gusher, leaving me with half a glass of hazy deep gold beer with a large white head. Creamy up front with floral notes, a touch of lemon and spice, then custard cream biscuits with grass in the finish. Sweetish. Ok flavour, felt like it needed to be crisper though.

Can from Hoptimism. Light yellow, clear with a foamy white head. Lemony character to the aroma, gluey resin, butter, hay. Sweet taste, almost saccharin, with some hoppy bitterness edging its way into the finish. Diet lemonade in the aftertaste. Soft to medium carbonation. Not all that keen on this beer.

Can from Hoptimism. Floral aroma with some grass. Low key. Light gold. Bubbly white head. Medium bitter with a sweet citrus edge and also malt. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Relatively abrupt finish. Drinkable and refeshing if not overly memorable.

Cask at the Nags Head, Reading. A bright straw coloured pour with a ring of white head; fresh, but indistinct, aroma; melony taste witha sweet grainy body; quite full-bodied with a light woody bitterness, but a rather cloying sweet finish. Interesting.
