Des arômes maltés de grain et de céréales s’introduisent d’abord au nez et s’accompagnent d’une touche herbacée et florale ainsi que d’un fond végétal qui laisse entrevoir une possibilité de DMS. Liquide jaune paille et flou. Mousse abondante, crémeuse et persistante. L’entrée de bouche est terreuse, poussiéreuse même, s’accompagnant de malts miellés, de houblons épicés aux notes de poivre et encore d’un fond végétal qui sans être complètement désagréable, n’a évidemment pas sa place dans une bière et dénote une défaillance dans le processus de brassage. L’amertume et la finale sont terreuses, épicées et délicatement herbacées. Ça aurait pu être une bière originale n’eut été de ce goût végétal désagréable qui persiste tout au long de la dégustation. Attention, ce n’est pas la première bière avec défaut que je déguste de cette brasserie. Et, ça se produit souvent quand ils sortent de leur zone de confort qui sont les styles Allemands. Hazy golden colour with amber highlights. The head is big, creamy-frothy, warm white, very long lasting and leaving full foamy-creamy lacing. Big orange juice nose with some spicy, soapy notes coming out eventually. The taste is fairly bitter, drying with citrus zest. This lingers nicely. Quite a nice hazy IPA with more bitterness, dryness.

A golden ipa with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, biscuit malt with grassy hops, treacle, pleasant and smooth. In mouth, sweet biscuit malt with resinous hops, herbaceous character, light treacle, pleasant. On tap at Ontario brewery.

Can: Poured an amber color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry hops notes with some earthy flavours sis OK. Taste is a mix of earthy hops with light citrusy with some grainy cereal notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. OK but probably prefers the standard German offerings for this brewery.
