Can from the LCBO. Pours black, with a medium brown head. Nice roast, soft cocoa, and light coffee. Run of the mill, but well done. Silky mouth feel, perfct carb. Light to medium bitterness, more good roast, coffee fades, milk chocolate comes though more, light soy. good stuff.

A red copper brown stout with a thin creamy lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, light mineral notes, so-so.

Can from Cask & Barrel. Dark brown. Not much head on this pour. Dark chocolate and light coffee on the nose. On the palate it's got a good body, lots more of that chocolate and coffee. The 8 IBU number comes from the brewery's website, but this tastes like it has a fair bit of bitterness. Surely that doesn't all come from roast malt - that number seems way off because this beer is well-balanced. Yeah, I'm enjoying this one. Really tasty, complex everyday stout.

Dark brown colour, almost black, with a frothy-creamy light mocha-coloured head, good stay and some creamy lacing. Aromas are mild, but a nice blend of roasted malts, cereal grains and molasses. Even lighter in the mouthfeel. Roasted malts flavours mostly with a tad hops. This creates a little dryness. An easy-drinking, none-heavy stout.

This stout poured a deep black colour with a creamy, brown head. Beautiful lacing. Scents include a little smoke, coffee and a little molasses. First swig was nice and smooth with delicious flavours of coffee, dark toast and molasses. Finish is nice and burnt with a little cocoa lingering.
