Dark brown colour with ruby highlights, a big frothy-creamy mocha-coloured head with good retention and nice creamy lacing. Roasted malt base aromas with some dark fruits, apples and hints of spices, cacao powder. Fairly thin in the mouth with a drying finish. Again, roasted malt base in the flavours with lots of hops, kind of taking over the spices, and rest of what seems to be delicious for Christmas. An alright, more-hopped-than-spiced Imperial Stout.

A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, light coffee notes, pleasant. On tap at brewery.

Aromes de brownies au chocolat assorties d’un léger alcool, de vanille, d’un peu de cannelle et d’érable sur une base bien torréfiée. Petite mousse moka plutôt effervescente et fuyante sur un liquide noir tout à fait opaque. Chaleureusement épicée en bouche avec des notes de poivre, de cannelle, un fond d’érable et de vanille avec en finale une amertume terreuse mêlée d’éléments torréfiés et d’alcool épicé. La finale est longue, relativement sèche et chaleureusement amère. Les éléments maltés sucrés rappellent la mélasse et le chocolat au lait. Le caractère épicé nous donne l’impression d’un corps un peu moins rond que normalement pour un stout impérial. Can: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large brown foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of cinnamon et light maple notes with some black cholate notes is interesting. Taste is also a mix of cinnamon and other spices with some dry black chocolate notes with some very light residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Very enjoyable though a tad too much cinnamon for my taste buds.
