A blend of red wine barrel aged saison (~50%) and biére de garde (~30%) from our mixed fermentation projects, and fresh Belgian witbier (~20%). Funk, spice and grain flavours are softened by fruity, floral Brett notes. A complex beer ideal for ageing.

Keg at BBNo - thanks Ian! It pours clear golden with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, tart, granny smith apple, gooseberry, vinous, lemon peel, sherbet, tart, oak and vanilla. The taste is soft, dry, bready, gooseberry, white grape, vinous, oak, funk, straw, hay, sherbet, lemon rind and earth with a drying finish. Medium body and fine foamy carbonation. Plenty going on. Well rounded and quaffable. Really good fun.

Tap. Leeds International Beer Festival. Pale, green tinged gold. Fairly hazy. Thin and dense, glossy topped, white head. Nose has cheesy funk. Sawn wood. Soft brett. Notes of preserved lemon. Taste is oaky sweet, with the lightest of lemon rind twang. Mouthfeel could be cleaner. Low carbonation. Light sweet finish. Feels like an unfinished article.
