Draught at the Black Sheep. Mild roasted aroma. Black colour with a red shine. Seems clear. Creamy light brown head. Mild cream flavour. Milk chocolate. Slightly sweet, but not too much. Well-balanced. 737316

Cask at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark plum/black with foamy light brown foam, very fine. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, vanilla, lactose. Body is smooth, a little thin, with delicate carbonation. Taste is pretty delicate too, well balanced between a little roasty bitterness and the sweetness of lactose. Finish is actually fairly short.

On draught. Deep town with garnet highlights. Semi-sweet chocolate, lactose and a bit of roast in both the aroma and flavor. Great beer, would be incredible for a milk stout if some of the roasted malted was hidden.

Dry roast. Black pour with good head and lacing. Like Guinness but a little better. Soft mouthfeel, creamy. Crisp bitter end. Tap at Salt House.

Bottle at home from Jumbo, Utrecht, 10th March 19. Pours black and looks good. Aroma is coffee, roasted Malts, smoke. Taste is roasty, bitter, then sweet, coffee, dark and milk chocolate. Pretty good.

Bottle. Color: Very dark brown, almost black. Light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, chocolate. Taste: Sweet roasted malt and milk chocolate, lactose. Medium sweet, moderate to medium bitter. Bittery palate at finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Medium body, below average carbonation. Ok.

Frothy dark tan head left a tight head on a near black still body. Coffee, malt & dark sugar aroma. Medium bodied, highly carbonated & tingly over the palate with a thinning clean finish. Bitter coffee, berry, dark chocolate, nut & lactose tastes.

Draft: Poured pitch black with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malts and sweet chocolate. Taste is roasted malts with bitter bakers chocolates and yet a smooth finish.

On tap @Birrifugio Trastevere (Rome). Nera, quasi impenetrabile, schiuma beige media. .Al naso note di cappuccino, latte, cioccolato. In bocca è molto morbida, dolce all'attacco con lieve amaro finale. Corpo medio, carbonazione leggera. Gradevolissima.
