Arthur’s namesake beer—a Farmstead® ale crafted from American malted barley, European and American hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast, and water from our well—was rested for 16 months in our puncheons and was then conditioned atop a blend of organically grown plums from our neighbors at Elmore Roots in Elmore, Vt. The resulting elevated expression of Arthur, paired with local, organic fruit, sings an elegant song of seasonality.

Bottle. Poured a hazy, bright yellow color, with a lasting white head. Aroma was light plum, grapefruit citrus. Light lemon, pleasant light malt, some light grassy notes. Really nice stuff.

Pours fairly unclear blonde. Small white head. Scent is refined, funky, apples. mild phenols. Complex, not as plum forward as expected. Taste is sharp, tart, funky. Mildly fruity. Very dry. Oak, high carbo. Pretty good. Refined and complex as expected. Citric acid.

750ml bottle pours a murky yellow with some white head. Nose has stone fruits, lemon, nice wheaty, some malt, grass and perfume. Flavor is really lemony and stone fruit. Plum? Maybe, but there is a clear meatiness of the fruit. Barrel is there. It's round. Balanced and full bodied. Well made.

Tart plum and grapefruit. Great bretta, some orange. Hazy orange pour with decent head and lacing. Tart finish. Great stuff. Bottle thanks to Nimbleprop.

Bottle in Jefferson. Big thanks to Daniel for the trade. Pours mostly clear gold with a creamy, pure white head. Light sweet flavour with sturdy acidity, fresh and tart plums, low funk, mild salinity. Light bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Quenching, clean and dry in the finish, more plum, lemony bite. Excellent.

Bottle thanks to Jason. Pours a hazy yellow with small white head that lasts. The aroma is plum skin, mineral, lychee, oak. Thin body, plum, funk, mineral, nice tartness, enjoyed this.

750mL bottle pour at the brewery, 3/15/24. Towards the bottom of the bottle, slight haze. Copper-tinged brass-honey. Small, white head quickly to ring. Excellent aroma strength with plum on the finish. Notable but not overdone. Otherwise, malty and rustic with a bit of hop, quite a bit of mineral and mild Brett. No overdone acidity. Very mellow, fruity, malty. Brett, malt and juicy plum, tastefully in balance adding only one aspect to the beer. Just enough tannin, with biscuit and honey adding deep malt notes with good dryness, Brett and plum lingering. Arthur really transforms in to a whole nother beer when aged.
