In this third iteration of Cloudwater’s series of small beers, they replaced oats and heritage crystal with rye and red rye crystal, to give a spiced note from the malt. It’s fermented with New England Lallemand yeast and a 12 g/L dry hop of tropical tasting Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic and Citra BBC.

Can from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham and shared with the KL Tasting crew. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light toffee caramel, dry woody hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light, watery, grainy, light dry hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. A little too light for me but as expected.
