Sessionable strength but packs a punch. Piney hops & an assertive bitterness that finishes with a soft mango fruitiness

330ml bottle. Pours a murky, muddy orangey brown. Minimal white head. Aroma bears some tropical nods, following on the taste. Quite crisp and bitter with a little lime and grapefruit, but its hop character seems to have diminished somewhat, with pale malts remaining at the fore. Ok.

Very hazy gold - amber beer, decent cream colour head. Palate is airy, mildly dry and has reasonable carbonation. Nose of pomelo and tangerine - nice. Light malts, mild and dry creamy sweetness. Good pomelo and tangerine follows the snout. Sherbet vibe. Touches of hop spice and pine. Fairly dry finish. Nicely sherbetty and fruity.

On tap @Mad for Beer (Rome). Giallo paglierino, leggermente torbida, schiuma media bianca. Al naso sentori di frutta tropicale, pesca, albicocca. In bocca è equilibrata, base di malto corretta con finale amaro medio. Corpo esile, carbonazione media. Molto buona.

Keg at the Cock Tavern - Hackney. Pours lightly hazy yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Dry and pithy citrus in the nose, lemon zest, crisp pale mats. Light sweet flavour with subtle biscuit, more zesty citrus, light rindy bitterness, pine needles. Light bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Nicely balanced finish with some further pithy lemon and grapefruit I, mellow dry pale bread, hints of flinty minerality, piney accents. Very easy drinking.
