Bottle 56/600. Pours copper & clear, beige cap. Aroma: some dried fruits & caramel. Taste: moderate sweet, dry on the palate, light rich, boozy. Thin body, somewhat insipid. Maybe this hasn't lasted, I dunno.

Bottle 300/338. Fairly light coloured, pale orange. Smells boozy, whisky, raisins. Smooth, boozy, soft mouthfeel. Taste is dried fruit, some caramel, light honey on the aftertaste. Barrel is added well, and nicely marries with base.

Bottle 523 of 600. Finally. Pours almost flat, thick, syrupy. Big whisky smell, sweet, warming, slightly fruity. Thick mouthfeel, warmingly boozy. Lots of barrel over a treacherously complex and intense beer. Slow sipper, extremely flavourful. Heavy.

Keg at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell - London. Pours clear honey-gold with a creamy, white head. Tangy ripe fruits in the nose, light citrus, faint acetone, bread. Medium to heavy sweet flavor, with licks of toffee, hearty bread, vanilla, fruitcake - it tastes great. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly chewy. Warming, almost hot on the finish, with gooey sugars, caramel, toffee, ripe semi-dark fruits. Very good overall. I was quite impressed by this one.

Keg at Craft Clerkenwell. It pours clear amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is bitter - sweet, juicy pine, resinous, vanilla, toasted coconut, fruit cake and tapioca. The taste is similarly bitter - sweet, oily, toffee, raisin, fruit cake, mild acidity, banana bread, spice, wood and warming alcohol boost through the finish. Medium - full body and moderate carbonation. A bit hot perhaps, but flavoursome nonetheless.
